Information or advice about your wellbeing – or how you can help somebody else.
People who experience mental distress can easily become isolated and lonely. If that rings bells for you then our volunteering project could help you find the friendship and emotional support you’ve been looking for.
Volunteering in your local community can help you meet new people, learn new skills, gain confidence and have fun. Most of all you can make a difference by helping others.
Step Up Step Out! is a gentle introduction to volunteering. As part of a group you'll spend a day out and about each week up to 8 weeks trying different volunteering roles, from community gardening to helping out at local events and activities. You'll also take part in informal training workshops to help you develop your confidence and skills. When you complete the course you'll get an Agored accreditation in Volunteering & Community Involvement (level 2) and we'll help you to find a volunteer role in a local organisation if that's what you want.
